Photo’s sell homes…It’s as simple as that.
In visiting with potential home buyers, they’ve revealed that the most important considering factor on scheduling an appointment to view a home is the photos.
It’s their first introduction to your home and you know you can never make a 2nd first impression!
Lets make sure your photos stand out on line.
Curb Appeal – Your agent will want to take several exterior photos so make sure the lawn is manicured, trees & shrubs have been trimmed, and fresh bark/gravel are in place. A fresh coat of paint on exterior walls and trim give it a “New” like appearance. As the seasons change so should your photos, no one wants to see snow in July. Buyers want to know about their surroundings so lets show them.
Cut Kitchen Clutter – The kitchen is the most important room in the house. You’ll want to make sure all your small kitchen appliances are stored neatly, leaving counter tops clear and looking spacious. Maybe place a brightly colored bouquet of flowers or an attractive bowl of lemons strategically placed on the kitchen island, table or window sill for a “POP” of color. Snap close up photos of high end features like granite or high end appliances.
Master the Master Bed & Bath – Today’s home buyers want a bedroom filled with class & comfort. Photos should be taken from the corners in order showcase as much as possible. The bed needs to be neatly made with lots of accent pillows, clean windows, organized closets, & dressers clear of clutter. Please NO pet beds. In the bath be sure the toilet seat is down, fresh towels are in place and have it sparkling clean.
You may want to consider seeking the advise of a home stager, their experience in making a home look it’s best may be well worth the investment.
