Why is Finding What You’re Looking For So Hard?

The predominant story line I’m hearing from home buyers is “ We can’t find what we’re looking for”.

Frustrated HomebuyersSeems we here in Lewis County & the surrounding areas are not immune to the incredibly low inventory of homes available for sale! Yep, even in our little corner of the world…appears we too are experiencing a housing shortage!

Over the last few months home buyers have been confidently stepping forward ready to purchase.

They’ve got their pre-approval in hand, earnest monies ready for deposit, and their trusted REALTOR® by their side. The “Search” is on… most are looking for clean, turn key 3-4 bedroom homes, either in town or on small acreage between $200,000-$300,000.

It’s certainly a “Sellers” market! Which is Why is Finding What You’re Looking For So Hard?

Webster’s definition of a seller’s (or sellers’) market is…an economic situation in which goods or shares are scarce and sellers can keep prices high.

Sellers will often see several buyers competing for their property, which can drive up prices. This means that buyers may have to spend more to get what they want.

Whether you’re buying or selling, now may be the time to act!
